Who is Anita Isalska?

  • Freelance copywriter
  • Internationally published travel journalist
  • Digital content expert
  • Editor for web and print

I'm an author for Lonely Planet's best-selling travel guides, and my writing has featured in The Telegraph, CNN Travel, BBC Travel, TravelSupermarket, Travel DK, Escapism Magazine, Rough Guides, World Travel Guide, Morning Calm and many more.

For a hands-on read, check out Lonely Planet's latest guides to Eastern Europe and Romania & Bulgaria, which I co-authored. I also contributed to Lonely Planet's guidebooks on Spain, Malaysia and France.

Hitting the shelves this year are Lonely Planet’s brand-new guides to Thailand, New Zealand and Israel & the Palestinian Territories, featuring my work on Central Thailand, Fiordland, the South Island's West Coast, Jerusalem and the north coast of Israel.

Formerly a Digital Editor and Web Copywriter for LonelyPlanet.com, I have a strong track record of building bespoke content plans with a rapid turnaround. I copywrite to drive traffic to transactional spaces, tailor content to engage social media audiences, and I’m experienced in implementing creative strategies that cost minimal time and money.

I am also an Oxford-educated linguist and an NCTJ-accredited journalist and sub-editor with plenty of experience in news, features, legal services and the charity sector.
